Union Ironworkers

The Ironworkers International Union has been working for employment opportunities, fair pay, health and welfare benefits, retirement benefits, continuing education, and other worker’s rights since 1896. Local Union 584 has been doing the same for the working men and women of South Eastern Kansas, South Western Missouri, North Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma since 1938.

There is strength in numbers, and Union Ironworkers reap the rewards of that strength by receiving representation in many different areas. Higher wages, better benefits as well as good working conditions are the direct result of that representation. Ironworkers who belong to a Union go to a safer jobsite everyday than their non-union counterparts. Union Ironworkers can also increase their skills – and consequently their chances of more steady employment – by attending upgrade classes (free of charge) at the training facility.
